The Apple Watch should start arriving on doorsteps on Friday, April 24, and Apple just opened up the app store ahead of the launch. If already running iOS 8.3, that means the Apple Watch app, which contains the new app store, is already installed.

We took a quick gander at the current offering, which shows dozens of apps including TripAdvisor, CNN, Dark Sky, EverNote, WSJ, Citymapper, Instagram, At Bat, Twitter, Uber, NYTimes, American Airlines Target and plenty more. The Wall Street Journal said earlier on Thursday that “more than 3,000 Watch apps will be available when the store opens later Thursday,” though we don’t see that many just yet.

Additional images from 9to5Mac (included in the gallery above) show a breakdown by category, so it seems like the store is just coming online now, and that there will be a lot more to dig through between now and Friday. You can browse through the gallery to get a taste of what the Apple Watch app store looks like or, if you’re on an iPhone with iOS 8.3, just open the Apple Watch app to get started.
