macbook-pro-2010Rumor has it Apple may be refreshing its MacBook Pro line before the holiday shopping season starts this year. The refresh will involve a few small changes to the line, including a small speed improvement to the notebook’s Core i-Series Sandy Bridge processors.

Intel recently updated and discounted its processor line, making it logical that Apple would try to get its hands on some faster processors at lower prices to put in the notebooks. For instance, a 2.5 or 2.6GHz processor could ow be obtained for the same price as the 2.3GHz Core i5 processor currently used in some of the computers.

Apple last refreshed the MacBook Pro line in February of this year. Currently the 13-inch model of the computer is available with a 2.3GHz or 2.7GHz processor, while the 15-inch and 17-inch models are available with Core i7 chips up to 2.3GHz.
