Apple’s iconic Fifth Avenue Apple Store in New York City is one of the most famous Apple locations in the world — primarily because of the unique glass cube structure — and now the Cupertino-based comapny is taking some of that design language and adding it to a new location in Tokyo. Apple is preparing to open its brand new location on Omotesando avenue later this week, on June 13, and recently sent out invitations to the event. It will be the third Apple Store in Tokyo.

The new Apple Store location appears to have a mostly glass facade, though also has spiral staircase, not unlike the fifth avenue location in New York City, that takes you down to another level. The floor to ceiling glass windows also look exactly like the panels used in the Fifth Avenue location, which were actually replaced back in 2011 when the store was redesigned. Based on photos obtained by 9to5Mac from Ringo-Sanco, it looks like Apple’s iPads and iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s products will be on display on the first level, with computers, the Genius Bar, accessories and more likely downstairs.

I can remember attending the Grand Central Apple Store location grand opening, and it’s quite a spectacle. If you’re in the area in Tokyo and are a fan of Apple — or just large public events — you might want to consider stopping by. Send us some pictures if you do!
