Apple Watch Event 2015 New MacBook Hands-On-1

Apple has seeded its third OS X 10.10.5 beta to registered developers ahead of its public release. Those who are already running a previous version can update to the latest, which sports build number 14F25a, from the Mac App Store now.

OS X 10.10.5 is a relatively small update to Yosemite — it certainly isn't as exciting as the upcoming El Capitan release that will make its debut this fall. But it does contain some security fixes and stability improvements, which are always welcome.

Given that El Capitan could rollout within the next couple of months, we expect to see OS X 10.10.5's public release relatively soon. In fact, this could well be the last beta release.

Those already running OS X 10.10.5 can download beta 3 from the Mac App Store now, while those who aren't can obtain it via Apple's Developer Center. You will need to be a registered developer to get access to it.
