Apple has released iOS 4.3.3. The small update to the iOS software is a reaction to recent news regarding iOS’ tracking feature – a feature that keeps track of the locations an iPhone or 3G iPad visits in order to keep track of where cell towers are in those areas.

Many people were outraged that their phones and iPads kept track of said data. Apple is attempting to correct the issue by reducing the amount of the tracking data iOS stores on a device, no longer backing that data up to iTunes, and will deleting the stored location data entirely if a user wants to disable Location Services on his or her phone or iPad.

You can download iOS 4.3.3 (4.2.8 for Verizon customers) now by connecting your device to iTunes.

Were you concerned that your iPhone or iPad was keeping track of your location data? Is iOS 4.3.3 a suitable fix to the problem in your opinion?
