The iPhone 5 may have a curved glass screen similar to the old iPod Nano. According to DigiTimes, Apple has purchased between 200 and 300 glass cutting machines to be used to cut the glass necessary to make the display covers. Manufacturers were reportedly reluctant to shell out their own cash to buy the expensive machines, causing a delay in the potential launch of the phone.

Rumor has it yields of curved glass are currently not high enough to use use the machines, however, the glass cutters are currently being stored at the associated assembly plants in anticipation of glass production reaching a satisfactory level.

What do you think about the possibility of Apple using curved glass in the next iPhone?
