lightning_adapter_AppleIf you purchased an iPhone 5 last month, you’ll finally have the opportunity to dust off your old accessories. AllThingsD confirmed that Apple’s Lightning to 30-pin adapter is now being shipped to customers in Australia — other countries likely to follow soon — meaning your old dock will once again be usable. There’s been a big uproar over Apple’s decision to ditch the company’s old 30-pin proprietary connector, particularly with the millions of accessories on the market. And if you consider that Apple has likely sold more than 5 million iPhone 5s, that’s quite a lot of unused accessories. The good news is that the adapter is being shipped. Unfortunately, the price remains at $29, while the adapter and short cable is $39.
