Apple-VS-Android-Toy-VS-Fruit-2

The United States International Trade Commission recently ruled that Apple's products are not infringing on patents owned by Google. Six patents were originally IN question and all are related to various functions on the iPhone that are also used in Android smartphones, but there was one remaining patent that was still under discussion. The patents were originally owned by Motorola Mobility, which Google acquired in Aug., 2011.

"We're disappointed with this outcome and are evaluating our options," Google told Reuters in a statement. We don't know what Google's next step will be, but had the ITC found Apple guilty of infringing on the patents it's possible it could have ordered an injunction against shipments of the iPhone in the United States.

It's just another day of lawsuits in the tech industry. Apple and Samsung are continuing to battle in court and dozens of other lawsuits seem to pop up almost daily.
