Apple’s come a long way in the past 40 years, growing from a small startup to one of the biggest corporations on earth. Plenty of people have argued that Apple’s lost its rebellious spirit in the process, but the company clearly disagrees.

To celebrate its 40th birthday, Apple is flying a pirate flag at its Cupertino headquarters on Friday. The design, which features a traditional skull and crossbones with a rainbow Apple logo filling in one of the eyes, was introduced back when the company launched the first Mac.

Apple typically rotates between different company flags, which fly alongside the U.S. and California flags at its Infinite Loop headquarters. The tech giant was founded on April 1, 1976, and turned 40 on Friday. You can watch a quick video released by the firm last month to celebrate its birthday below.
