Over the past ten years, the Infinity Stones have been incredibly important to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, Marvel is ready to explore another important piece of the puzzle: the Quantum Realm.

In an interview with io9, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased that there are crucial clues to the MCU’s future hiding in the Quantum Realm, which will further be explored in Ant-Man and the Wasp. (We previously saw the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and Doctor Strange.)

“Like the first movie there are clues in the Quantum Realm to other possibilities and things,” Feige said. “I’m talking frames (of film).”

When the first Ant-Man movie was released, Marvel carefully introduced audiences to the alternate dimension, saying Janet Van Dyne tragically got stuck there—something Marvel teased in the first film by including a frame of her outline.

Feige’s comments suggest Ant-Man and the Wasp will have similar clues. The movie’s director Peyton Reed also chimed in on the topic.

“We have definitely laid some groundwork for some stuff down there… similar to what we did in the first movie,” Reed teased.

As to what’s lurking in the Quantum Realm, that remains to be seen. Chances are the clues won’t be staring us in the face, but hopefully some eagle-eyed viewers can spot the dimension’s secrets, because what we find might give us some insight into Avengers 4. One theory suggests the Quantum Realm will be key to defeating Thanos in the upcoming movie.

We’ll find out what’s in the Quantum Realm when Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters on July 6.
