Not that anyone should be surprised after the tease from last week, and the leaks we saw over the weekend, but Angry Birds Star Wars is now official.
Rovio announced this morning that it is bringing the Star Wars brand into the Angry Birds universe on Nov. 8. Based on the original trilogy of films, you will now see the birds and pigs doing battle in familiar locations such as the desert planet of Tatooine and inside the corridors of the Death Star. As you can see from the artwork above, the pids will be representing the Empire while the birds will be decked out to look like our favorite heroes of the Rebellion.
The game will be available on iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, Mac, PC, Windows Phone and Windows 8 on Nov. 8, and merchandise will begin showing up in stores on Oct. 28.
