Google announced Android M on Thursday during its Google I/O 2015 conference in San Francisco. The company touched on some major changes coming to the platform, like USB Type-C support for faster charging, native support for fingerprint readers built into smartphones and tablets, new app permissions and more, but it didn’t name everything that’s coming to Android M.
Thankfully, our eagle-eyed editor-in-chief Sean Aune grabbed a screenshot of Google’s Android M announcement, which provides a big list of all of the changes that should launch within the next release of Android. I’m digging things like support for 5GHz wireless hotspot broadcasting, work contacts in personal contexts and simplified volume controls. Other features, like Google Now on Tap, aren’t even mentioned. This is probably not everything — much more will likely come as it’s developed — but there’s a lot here.
