Google’s developer preview for Android L is already available for a select few devices, but the company’s still pushing out smaller updates for its current mobile OS as well. On Wednesday morning the HTC One and One (M8) Google Play Edition phones started receiving the upgrade to Android 4.4.4.

The software update mostly just fixes some security issues, including protection for that HeartBleed vulnerability. Don’t expect any major changes with Android 4.4.4. Google is clearly saving the big stuff for Android L this fall, though your GPE device should ensure you get that upgrade pretty quickly as well.

Android 4.4.4 should show up on your phone as an over-the-air update sometime today. If you feel like jump starting the processor, however, just head into Settings > About phone > System and check for yourself.
