If you, like a lot of people, weren't quick enough to get your order in for a new Nexus 4 before they sold out on Google Play this morning, then don't feel too downhearted. At least you can enjoy Android 4.2, Google's latest Android update, on your old Galaxy Nexus.

The update is now rolling out over-the-air to both the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7, The Verge reports. However, the Galaxy Nexus's update appears to be arriving only on a certain variant right now, specifically the unlocked HSPA+ model that began selling through the Google Play Store back in April.

As noted by Phandroid, however, it is now possible to obtain a copy of your official ROM from Google and install it manually on your Galaxy Nexus — if you don't like the idea of waiting for it.

Has your Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 7 received the Android 4.2 update yet?
