Now you have another streaming device to consider. In a press release, Amazon unveiled the new Fire TV Stick 4K.
The new Fire TV Stick 4K isn’t too different from the outside, but you’re getting a decent amount of new features on the inside. It’ll elevate video quality in a few ways. Amazon explains there are more powerful technologies like Dolby Vision and HDR10+. With those two, your content will feature enhanced color and contrast.
Amazon created a refreshed antenna design, too. The Wi-Fi chip should hold connections better and from a further distance, enabling 4K UHD streaming from most locations in the home.
Meanwhile, all Fire TV devices are getting access to the Alexa Voice Remote. It has full access to Amazon’s digital assistant, but there are also dedicated buttons for power and volume. Because of its layout, you’re able to control everything from the TV to the cable box to a Fire TV device using one tool.
The Alexa Voice Remote is also bundled with the Fire TV Cube. Other Fire TV devices will need it purchased separately for $30.
Remember, we’re talking about Amazon. So it’s no surprise that the new Fire TV Stick 4K looks like a bargain. It costs just $50, and you can pre-order the darling of a dongle today. Amazon will then release the Fire TV Stick 4K in the U.S. and Canada on Wednesday, October 31.
