Amazon's subsidiary A9 announced that its Flow augmented reality shopping application is now available for Android smartphones. The application, which is already available on the iPhone, can recognize "tens of millions of products" in a live camera view, such as books, video games, DVDs, and much more, which allows users to quickly learn more about any product. It's also possible of scanning QR codes. The application reminds us a lot of Google Goggles, a similar Android app that allows users to search for more information on anything simply by scanning a product with the phone's camera. Flow can also be used to add contact information to a user's address book — presumably by scanning a business card – and can also open websites or connect to Wi-Fi networks. Flow is available from Amazon's App Store now for free.
