Soon, you’ll be able to buy iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches directly from Amazon. That’s now possible thanks to a new deal between the two companies, which will bring some of Apple’s most popular products to the largest online marketplace.
Amazon has always sold Apple products but they were from third-party resellers that led to inconsistent pricing. With the new deal, Apple will oversee the process, ensuring pricing stay consistent with its own site. Only Apple and authorized sellers will be able to sell Apple products. Any current third-party sellers will have their listings taken down beginning January 4 and the only way for them to continue selling Apple products is to apply to be an authorized seller.
Beyond the major Apple tech products Amazon will sell, customers will also be able to buy Beats products.
“Amazon is constantly working to enhance the customer experience, and one of the ways we do this is by increasing selection of the products we know customers want,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement to CNET.
The deal, which should go live in the next few weeks, will see Apple products available in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and India.
