sm-g910 benchmark

Samsung made headlines throughout the tech world when it announced it will release a curved smartphone in October, and now the rumored device may have been spotted in a GFXBench benchmark under the model number SM-G910.  There's not much to go on, but the unique name along with the few specs the leak reveals have us thinking this really could be Samsung's mystery phone.

The SM-G910 comes equipped with a Snapdragon 800 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. The same components help power the Galaxy Note 3, lending support to the rumors that Samsung's curved device will be a limited edition spin-off of its latest phablet. The SM-G910 also sports a 1920 x 1080-pixel display, the same resolution used for the Note 3 and Galaxy S4.

LG is also expected to release a curved smartphone this month, according to anonymous sources speaking to ZDNet. The company, which already sells curved OLED TVs, will likely implement the same technology into a mobile device called the LG Z. The South Korean OEM will allegedly launch the device in Asia, with no word on when it may arrive in the U.S.
