Apple is reportedly preparing a brand new 12-inch MacBook Air, codenamed “MacBook Stealth,” and 9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman, who is well known for his accuracy in reporting on all things Apple, has a fully detailed report discussing what we can expect from Apple’s new thin and light notebook. The site even published self-built renders of what the new laptop might look like.

Gurman says the new 12-inch MacBook Air is more narrow than the 11-inch model Apple currently sells, which suggests we’re going to see even smaller bezels along the edges of the display. That also means that the keys on the keyboard are reportedly closer together, since Apple apparently has less room to work with thanks to the more narrower body.

Apple went back to the drawing board to redesign the laptop, it seems, and Apple decided to go with a completely fanless design. That also means all of the ports have been tweaked, and Apple is apparently going to toss out the USB ports we’re all used to in favor of the newer and smaller USB Type-C port, which may also be used to power the new 12-inch MacBook Air. Goodbye bulky charging cables.

There are a few other details that we’ll leave for Gurman to explain, hit the source to read his full report.
