When the HTC One (M8) is unveiled on March 25, Verizon will be one of the carriers to provide a big marketing push. According to a poster provided to Phandroid, the device will feature prominently in Verizon retail locations when it finally becomes available to consumers; the marketing material gives us a pretty good look at the device’s dual-camera arrangement, along with the company’s mysterious flip cover, which seems capable of providing at-a-glance information to users. No pricing or release is included on the poster, but if marketing materials are already available, perhaps we’ll see the all new HTC One sooner than we think.
The poster tells us that Verizon will actually refer to the new One by its codename, M8, so customers are clear on how this one differs from the previous iteration. Some of the design changes are obvious, but customers will still need that extra nudge so they know exactly what device they’re getting; that just means the older HTC One will be dropped down to a lower price tier, which some customers might find enticing.
Verizon has actually featured prominently along the M8’s journey. A unit appeared on eBay last month, and was subsequently sold for around $500. However, it was unclear if the unit was actually working or not, though chances are high it was merely a dummy unit, which we’ve seen plenty of over the past few weeks—here’s a pretty good glimpse at one of the dummy units floating around.
We’re expecting the all new HTC One to feature a 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and Duos UltraPixel camera. While little of the device is a mystery, we still have yet to see any of it in action, so we’re still excited for HTC’s announcement. Luckily we only have to wait until March 25 for the actual unveiling.
