The eternal fight between aliens, predators and colonial marines continue in this latest installment of AVP. I took the multiplayer demo for a spin on both the Xbox360 and PS3 and both versions give out a distinct feeling of familiarity. The pulsating beeps of the colonial marine proximity sensor still make my skin crawl as my impending doom looms ever closer.  Not much has changed from the almost 10-year-old AVP2; aliens still crawl on walls and colonial marines still tend to get their heads ripped off (0:30). The game will have some appeal to fans of both franchises and most likely the fans of the god-awful Aliens vs. Predator movies, but i'm not too sure if the game can compete with the likes of Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2 in the multiplayer game arena.

Aliens vs. Predator has to be one of most rebooted game franchises of all time:

Alien vs Predator (NES 1993)

Alien vs Predator: The Last of His Clan (Gameboy 1993)

Alien vs. Predator (Arcade Game/ Atari Jaguar 1994)

Alien vs. Predatotor  (PC 1999)

Alien vs. Predatotor2  (PC 2001)

Aliens vs. Predator: Extinction (PS2 2003)

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (PSP 2007)

Aliens vs. Predator (PS3, Xbox 360, PC 2010)
