Aspire One Cloudbook 11-970-80

Acer today introduced its first Windows 10 notebooks. They're part of the company's new Aspire One Cloudbook series, and they're available in 11- and 14-inch options, priced at as little as $169.

The Aspire One Cloudbook series seems to be inspired by Acer's Chromebook family; they combine affordable, entry-level specifications with useful cloud services that are ideal for students and other computer users who can cope without beefy internals.

The Cloudbook is powered by an Intel Celeron processor and 2GB of RAM, and they come with 32GB solid-state drives as standard, with an optional upgrade to 64GB. They also offer Wi-Fi connectivity, 1366×768 displays, and a completely fanless design.

Acer also throws in a one-year subscription to Office 365, 1TB of OneDrive storage, and the company's own suite of cloud-based abApps for editing photos, managing music, organizing files, and creating documents.

The 11-inch Cloudbook measures just 17.9mm thick and weighs 2.54 pounds, and it will be priced at just $169 when it goes on sale later this month. The 14-inch model, which carries the same internals, weighs 3.5 pounds and will start at $199 when it goes on sale in September.
