Apple on Monday finally told the world just how much it will charge for the Apple Watch. On the low end, you can expect to spend at least $349 for the Apple Watch Sport with a rubber watchband. At the very high end, you’ll drop as much as $17,000 for the Apple Watch Edition in gold with Apple’s most luxurious watch bands. That’s kind of obscene, but we get it: it’s a luxury product built for those with that kind of disposable income.

We thought it might be fun, then, to show you five things you could buy with that $17,000, should you decide to spend it elsewhere.

Here’s what we came up with.

Pizza every day for 5 years

Domino’s Pizza sells its small hand tossed pizza for $8.49. At that rate, you could eat pizza every single day for a year and spend about $3,098. Why stop there, though? You can eat a lot more pizza, so why not just buy a pizza every single day for 5 years.

At that rate, you’d be well into your fifth year of eating an entire small hand tossed pizza every single day until you spend the full $17,000 required for the most expensive Apple Watch. Pizza or watch? We know what decision we’d make.

A 2015 Ford Fiesta

Why not buy a new car? The MSRP of a new 2015 Ford Fiesta starts at $13,965. That means you can take off on a road trip with four of your best friends in a fully paid-off car, just walk into a dealership and drop down the cash you’d otherwise spend on a watch.

Sure, we know you can easily spend that much money on other luxury watches, but it’s pretty wild to think you could buy a new car for the same amount of money you’re spending to decorate your wrist.

A year of college at a state school

It’s probably a wise choice not to buy a piece of technology that’s bound to be outdated soon. Maybe consider going back to school to study something you’ve always wanted to know more about? Or save for a child’s education?

According to the College Board, the average price of a state school for in-state residents is currently $9,139 for state residents. Maybe it’s time to finally pick up Spanish, since you’ve already clearly studied economics and the depreciation of assets.

Why not see the world and make some real memories? The Apple Watch probably won’t ever satisfy that for you, but world travel will. You can buy round trips from New York to London starting at $1,000, which means you can get seventeen of those under your belt before you’ve reached the price of the Apple Watch.

That’s a lot of photos of Big Ben, so maybe spoil yourself on some nice hotel rooms while you’re abroad, too.

Give to charity

Or, you know, you could be a good human and give that money to charity. Why spend it on boosting the bling on your wrist when you can help people actually eat? Or live longer? Or gain access to fresh water? That $17,000 could be spend a number of ways. World Vision will let you buy a goat and 2 chickens for $100, which helps families or villages gain access to food and nutrition. With $17,000, you could buy 170 goats and 340 chickens. That’s a lot of eggs.

We’re not here to judge, you can spend your money how you want, but charity seems like a pretty good option to us.
