There was a mixed bag of Black Friday sales this year. Sure, there were some solid TV sets if you were in the market for a UHD set and can live with a 120hz refresh rate. And, yeah, you can save a good deal on some pretty solid laptops at various retailers, too. But, in general, I wasn’t too excited.

In hopes of finding something more exciting for Cyber Monday, I started digging through a couple of retailers to see what was discounted. Amazon has a lot of stuff, Best Buy has a few compelling items, and Target had a surprise deal.

Here’s what I found, all of which I think are worth buying. There are plenty of other deals if you keep digging, especially on consoles, Smart TVs and even Apple products, but these are the ones I personally recommend grabbing.

Moto Z

Amazon has the unlocked Moto Z with 64GB of storage for $499 today. That’s $200 off of list price and, depending on where you live, you can have it delivered same-day. This phone is barely discounted by this much and, right now, it’s priced just $50 more off of the Moto Z Play, which barely compares. The Moto Z offers support for a range of mods, expandable storage and, better yet, is being updated to Android 7.0 Nougat with support for Daydream.

Blue Yeti

We use two Blue Yeti microphones for the TechnoBuffalo Show podcast. I recently upgrade from my Blue Snowball and haven’t looked back. I paid slightly more than $100 for mine, but you can get the Blue Yeti for just $89.99 from Amazon today. The retailer is even offering the Blackout Edition at the same price, which is the coolest-looking model there is. If you want a high-quality microphone without breaking the bank, the Blue Yeti is pretty much the standard.

Philips Hue

There were some really good deals on Philips Hue on Black Friday, and at least one retailer still has solid savings. Target is currently selling the Philips Hue A19 white and color ambiance LED starter kit, the one I recommend in my “How to build a Smart Home” guide, for $179.99. It typically retails for $199.99, and you can save an additional 15-percent at checkout, bringing the cost down to $153. Keep in mind this is the most expensive part of adding smart lights; after you own the hub, you can add new white bulbs for about $13 each.

Sonos Play 1

The Sonos Play 1 typically costs $200 but it’s discounted to just $149 for the holidays from several retailers, including Best Buy, Target, B&H, the Apple Store and Amazon. It was $25 cheaper on Black Friday for folks who were able to grab a $25 Visa Checkout discount from Best Buy, too, but this deal is still worth jumping on. Sonos is well-known for offering high-end great-sounding connected speakers. Buy one and add to the family later, slowly expanding music to your whole house.

Echo Dot

If you haven’t tried an Echo yet, now is the best time to do so. The Echo Dot is just $39.99 today, down $10 from  its standard price. That’s more than worth the entry into Amazon’s amazing voice assistant ecosystem. With the Echo Dot, you can control your lights, listen to podcasts on demand, get a summary of the daily news, play music and so much more. I have these spread throughout my house and still prefer even the Echo Dot to Google Home, which is more than twice the price (though also on sale for $99.)
