Apple’s new 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display, which the company just announced at its iPad event, will start at $2,499. That’s some aggressive pricing—it comes with 8GB of RAM standard, and begins shipping today. The standard model also comes with 3.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, AMD Radeon R9 M290X, and a 1TB Fusion Drive. If you regularly edit media likes photos and video, this will be hugely enticing, especially at that price point. The old iMac will still be offered, but this is obviously apple’s new flagship model.
