Think Wear OS smartwatches and chances are Mobvoi’s Ticwatch range will come to mind. Offering the best affordable Wear OS experience there is, the company’s latest two smartwatches are now available shortly after they were announced at CES a couple of weeks ago. Like the previous Ticwatch range, the pricing is what makes them interesting: the E2 is available for just $159, while the sporty more-rugged S2 is only $179.
Neither watch is compelling in terms of design or style, but they offer excellent features at a very affordable price tag. Compared to other high-end Wear OS smartwatches – which can cost $300 – the E2 and S2 offer an excellent all-round experience. Both come with large batteries and excellent looking displays, as well as a heart rate sensor and GPS for fitness tracking.
The S2 offers a slightly better experience, with an MIL-STD 810G rating and slightly larger casing justifying it’s slightly higher price tag. Whichever TicWatch model you end up purchasing however, you’ll get the same fully fledged Wear OS experience that we’ve come to know and love.
