Samsung has unveiled the Notebook 9 Pro, a powerful laptop with 2-in-1 capabilities. The device is among the Korean company’s sleekest laptops yet, complemented nicely with diamond-cut edges and a clean, metal finish.
The magic of the Notebook 9 Pro is that the screen can flip all the way around, transforming the device into a tablet. This type of form factor isn’t anything new, but it expands the capabilities of what the Notebook 9 Pro can do, giving users the flexibility to use the laptop to their liking.
The reason you’d want to flip the screen over is because of the Notebook 9 Pro’s Active Pen, which features 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity; the pen, if you were wondering, comes in the box, meaning you won’t have to buy it separately.
The Notebook 9 Pro features an 8th Gen Intel Core i7, 8GB of RAM, Windows 10 Home, 256GB of storage, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, USB-C port, microSD, and a 13.3-inch FHD display. The laptop also supports fingerprint biometrics, allowing users to unlock the device without a password.
According to Samsung, the Notebook 9 Pro also features two 1.5W speakers and a dedicated amp for maximum audio quality. Other features include a customized LED indicator bar, a “comprehensively redesigned keyboard,” and up to 14 hours of battery life.
In addition, Samsung also introduced the Samsung Notebook Flash, which features Gigabit Wi-Fi technology and more modest specs, including 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and an Intel Celeron or Intel Pentium Silver processor.
Samsung said the Notebook 9 Pro and Notebook Flash will be available in early 2019.
