The 40 Best Free and Paid iPhone Games of 2018

We’ve reached the home stretch of 2018, if you can believe it. To celebrate the year that was, Apple has revealed its “Best of 2018” awards, including the 20 best free and paid games available for iOS. If you’re looking for something new to play, the list is filled with plenty of great titles worth checking out.

Funny enough, Apple’s “iPhone Game of the Year” isn’t on the list of most downloaded games of the year. That award goes to Donut Country, a quirky game where you play as a hole in the ground. It’s a lot more fun than it sounds, trust me.

As for the games that topped the App Store’s charts, is it any surprise that Fortnite is number one? The game is a veritable sensation and will likely continue to dominate the charts on through 2019, too. Other popular free titles include Helix Jump, Rise Up, and PUBG Mobile.

The top paid games include Monument Valley 2, The Room: Old Sins, Getting Over It, Minecraft, and Five Night’s at Freddy’s. You can check out the full list of titles down below.
