One of the most annoying things in the world is rushing to the airport only to see that your flight won’t be taking off for another hour due to an unexpected delay. Google Assistant will soon let you know about this before you even begin to worry about it.

Google is planning to roll out a new feature for Google Assistant over the coming days that will predict the probability of your flight being delayed. All you’ll have to do is ask, “Hey Google, is my flight on time?” or “What’s the status of the American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Denver?”

The response will come with a reason for the flight delay such as weather. Using machine learning and historical flight data, Google says it will predict flight delays with an 85-percent confidence rate.

This is just the next step of information dissemination for flights. Currently, multiple services offer notifications for flight delays, but Google will be the first to predict a possible delay ahead of time.

The feature will roll out to Google Assistant over the coming days just in time for the hectic holiday traveling season.
