Now’s Your Last Chance To Get the NES Classic and SNES Classic

This holiday season will be your last chance to pick up the NES and SNES Classic consoles, according to Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aimé.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Fils-Aimé revealed Nintendo will no longer produce the consoles, which means once stock is gone, that’s it. Whether Nintendo will bring them back in the future remains to be seen.

Nintendo fans who miss out on the mini consoles can still get their fix of nostalgia through Nintendo Switch Online. The new service, which is available to Switch owners, features NES games like The Legend of Zelda, Ninja Gaiden, and Super Mario Bros., with more titles added every month.

Nintendo has discontinued the NES Classic before, only to bring the console back, so there’s always the chance we’ll see it return in the future. But considering Nintendo’s stance on the N64 Classic, it seems like the company is shifting focus to Nintendo Switch Online.

If you do decide to pick up an NES or SNES Classic, you better act quick. Your best bet is to find one at a big box store, though you can still find both mini consoles on Amazon with delivery before Christmas.
