We lost a legend this week. Stan Lee, the creator behind many of the superheroes who have become integrated into our lives, passed away at the age of 95. He meant a lot to many people, including the original six Avengers: Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow).

The six jump started the Marvel Cinematic Universe that took Stan Lee’s creations to unimaginable heights.

To honor him, the six Avengers took out a full page ad on The Hollywood Reporter acknowledging the towering legacy Lee leaves behind.

“We acknowledge his creative contribution, the thousands of men and women it has long employed, the millions that will continue to be entertained, and above all, his inimitable wit, grace and humility,” the tribute reads. “Stan, we love you, we will miss you, we’re grateful to represent a small part of your amazing legacy.”

We couldn’t have put it better. Stan Lee will continue to be remembered fondly as his creations continue to be experienced by millions of people everywhere.
