The Mandalorian won’t be the only original Star Wars series available on Disney Plus. The streaming service will also debut a live-action TV show starring Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor, who audiences met in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

“Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” said Luna. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”

The show, which will go into production early next year, will be set prior to Rogue One, following the rebel spy during the formative years of the Rebellion.

In Rogue One, audiences followed Andor to Jedha, a cold desert moon and sacred place for believers in the Force. It’s also a major source of kyber crystals, which have been used in Star Wars to power lightsabers and the Death’s Star planet-destroying weapon.

It’s unclear if the show will also feature K-2SO, a reprogrammed Imperial droid played by Alan Tudyk.

With production not expected to begin until early next year, the show probably won’t launch until 2020 at the earliest.
