Avengers 4 Director Just Dropped Some MAJOR Info

Avengers 4 director Joe Russo held a Q&A on Instagram, where here did not hold back with giving earnest answers on the status of the movie.

According to Russo, the stakes for Avengers 4 will be much higher than in Avengers: Infinity War, amping them up to a whole new level. As for how the editing process is coming along, he revealed they are only halfway through and still need a lot of visual effects work to get done. He also revealed they just started working on the musical score.

Touching upon the editing process, he dropped the nugget that the current run time for Avengers 4 stands at three hours and he’s not sure if that will end up changing by the final cut. That would make it the longest MCU movie to date. Infinity War capped out at 2 hours and 40 minutes, so a three-hour movie isn’t that crazy.

The last noteworthy update Russo revealed was that the long-awaited trailer for Avengers 4 may not drop this year. That directly refutes the proclamation from Marvel president Kevin Feige that the trailer would arrive before the year’s end. He may just be throwing us off the trail, and if so, he’s doing a great job.

In an even better troll job, Russo could not pass up on the opportunity to tease us with the movie title. On two separate occasions during the livestream he made it seem as if he was about to reveal the official title for Avengers 4 only to have the livestream cut out due to “technical difficulties.”
