Apple Unveils iOS 12.1.1 Beta 2: Here’s What’s New!

by Brandon Russell | November 7, 2018November 7, 2018 1:28 pm PST

Apple on Wednesday released the second beta for iOS 12.1.1, which is meant to shore up the stability and performance of Apple’s software.

The release arrives just over a week after Apple launched iOS 12.1, which brought with it a number of major features, including Group FaceTime and over 70 new emoji.

While the release of iOS 12.1.1 is mostly minor, it does introduce a few new features. You can turn off the physical SIM in favor of the eSIM, for example, and tweak Apple News on the iPad.

Additionally, you can take a Live Photo when on a FaceTime call. The software also includes improvements to FaceTime’s UI, with a bottom bar that now includes quick access buttons.

If anything else appears in Apple’s latest beta, we’ll be sure to let you know.
