OnePlus 6T vs. Galaxy Note 9: Samsung’s Flagship is in Trouble

by Danny Zepeda | October 29, 2018October 29, 2018 1:00 pm PST

Back when the OnePlus 6 was released in May, it was one of the best Android flagships. Five months later, that still remains true but with phones like the Galaxy Note 9 bursting onto the scene, OnePlus had to respond. It did with the OnePlus 6T.

So, how does the OnePlus 6T and Galaxy Note 9 stack up against each other? Let’s find out.

Surprisingly, the OnePlus 6T and Galaxy Note 9 are very similar. Each comes with large OLED displays, a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, microSD card expandability, dual-camera system and extravagant glass and metal designs.

However, for as similar as they are, they still differ quite starkly on multiple levels. The Note 9 is a pure luxury device with a Quad HD display, S-Pen, and wireless charging capability. The OnePlus 6T tries to make up the gap with its cutting edge in-display fingerprint scanner and a much cheaper price tag.

This may vary depending on the model you get, but even if you get the most expensive OnePlus 6T with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, you’re still saving hundreds of dollars over the Galaxy Note 9, which starts $1,000.

The decision in crowning a winner between the OnePlus 6T and Galaxy Note 9 is not as clear cut as you may think, but feel free to give it a shot. Take a look at the spec comparison below and decide which one is the better buy.
