Netflix has ordered 20 more episodes of Disenchantment, the latest series Simpsons mastermind Matt Groening. The original 20 episode order was split into groups of 10 to create two seasons. The same plan is going to be used for the next order of 20 and will create seasons 3 and 4 of the series.
“We’re excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix,’ Groening said in a statement. “Stay tuned for more cranked-up suspense, infuriating plot twists, and beloved characters getting knocked off.”
Set in a crumbling kingdom known as Dreamland, the series has received mixed reviews. From our own viewing here at TechnoBuffalo, we didn’t love the beginning of the season, but as it kept going we were very definitely onboard with it. If a series ends on a cliffhanger and you mutter outloud, “oh no,” you know you’re hooked.
