Earlier this summer, a convincing theory argued that Thanos wouldn’t be the only villain in Avengers 4—Marvel might also introduce a frightening cosmic entity who possesses immense power. Now, an alleged description for the film has popped up, leading fans to believe “an even greater threat” is on the horizon.
Here’s the full description, which was found on questionable merchandise for the upcoming movie:
The Asgardian Thor wields the mighty Stormbreaker in his battle against new foes. Rocket teams up with a new crew to guard the galaxy from an even greater threat.
Adding fuel to the fire is MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad, who posted a tweet saying Marvel may have secretly struck a deal with Fox (pre-acquisition) for a character who hasn’t been revealed yet. Previously, Marvel and Fox arranged a deal that saw Fox change Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s powers in exchange for Ego, who showed up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Remember when Fox wanted to change Negasonic Teenage Warhead's powers in the first Deadpool and they needed Marvel's permission to do so.
In exchange Marvel got back the rights to Ego.
But what if they also got back the rights to another character in secret?

As cool as it would be for Marvel to introduce a more threatening villain in Avengers 4, now doesn’t seem like the right time to do so. The studio has built up Thanos as the big villain over the past ten years, and to see him cast aside for someone (or something) more dangerous doesn’t seem right.
We’ll find out when Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
