Fortnite for Android No Longer Requires an Invite to Play

After launching as an invite-only beta for Android a few months ago, Fortnite is now available for most everyone with any Android device. Epic on Thursday announced the game no longer requires an invite to play.

When Fortnite for Android launched, it took a different approach by skirting the Google Play Store. Instead, Epic offered its own installer, which you can download from the developer’s website.

Per Epic’s website, Fortnite supports a number of Android devices, including the Galaxy Note 9, OnePlus 6, Essential Phone, and the newest Pixel from Google. If your Android phone isn’t listed on Epic’s website, your device needs to run Android 8.0 or higher, 3GB of RAM or higher, and Adreno 530 or higher.

If you haven’t yet jumped on the phenomenon known as Fortnite, mobile isn’t really the best way to play. But considering how popular the game is, it’s better than nothing, offering the same zany graphics and gameplay you love.
