Avengers 4 is currently undergoing reshoots in Atlanta, Georgia, and the production keeps adding more of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) and Pom Klementieff (Mantis) recently touched down in Atlanta to shoot additional scenes for the upcoming MCU flick.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo are leading the mandatory reshoots to help adjust some scenes and beef up the overall pacing of the movie. We’ve already seen a few other Avengers arrive in Atlanta, including Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man). Olsen and Klementieff are just the latest group of core actors to be recalled for the reshoots.
Their arrival was confirmed by an Atlanta Filming Twitter account that keeps track of actors arriving in the city for movie shoots.
Both Scarlet Witch and Mantis perished at the end of Avengers: Infinity War as a result of Thanos obtaining all six Infinity Stones. We’ve known for a while that many, if not all, perished Avengers would return, but this latest sighting confirms the fact.
We should also note that Klementieff partaking in reshoots confirms that the Guardians will return for Avengers 4. Their incorporation was left up in the air in the wake of the turmoil surrounding Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The Russo brothers revealed Gunn wrote some of the dialogue for the Guardians in Infinity War and likely did the same thing in Avengers 4.
We’ll see how it all comes together when Avengers 4 arrives in theaters in May 2019.
