Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell have joined the Birds of Prey movie, which just this week got an official release date. The two actors will join Margot Robbie, who will reprise her role as Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad.
Winstead, who audiences will recognize from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and 10 Cloverfield Lane, is set to play Huntress, a vigilante who shares a similar backstory to Batman. When she was younger, her family was killed in a mob hit.
Smollett-Bell, meanwhile, is playing Black Canary, who is described as a skilled street fighter. Variety reports the film will see these characters come together to fight a Gotham crime lord named Black Mask—a role that might be played by either Sharlto Copley or Ewan McGregor.
We’re still waiting for the roles of Cassandra Cain and Renee Montoya to be filled, but already the cast is rounding out pretty nicely.
Birds of Prey is currently scheduled for a release on February 7, 2020.
