Google Teases the Pixel 3, and That’s so Unnecessary

Google just started teasing its upcoming flagship. Is that exciting? Sure, but we’ve already seen in the Pixel 3 several times. The Mountain View-based company, despite its best effort, cannot keep its two high-end models behind the curtain until they’re actually official. In countless leaks, almost everything has been exposed.

Still, the Pixel 3 deserves just as much hype as any other flagship. It’ll have premium specifications that go toe-to-toe against the competition. Also, Google always surprises with software-based features that are exclusive to Pixel phones.

The teaser for its 2018 flagship isn’t so flashy. Yet we’re reminded that, yes, the Pixel 3 will be called the Pixel 3. On the Google Store, there’s a landing page with a large number ‘3’ and reminder. Google lets you enroll in alerts from the Google Store and says “some news” arrives on October 9.

It’s the same day that the Pixel 3 goes official, of course. The Google Store should take pre-orders on October 9 as well.

Expect additional products and services to launch, too. The Pixelbook 2 might be joined by a budget-friendly model, and Google could unveil new Home-branded speakers. Most rumors indicate a Google Assistant-powered smart display will join the family. As soon as it’s all official, TechnoBuffalo will pass along the need-to-know details.
