HTC U12 Life Lands At IFA 2018 With A Bang

After teasing a new device on Twitter, HTC has introduced the U12 Life, slotting into the U12 family as a more affordable option.

At a glance, the U12 Life looks like it has taken inspiration from both Apple and Google. The device features a two-tone design and a dual-camera that’s been arranged vertically. Additionally, the U12 Life sports a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and subtle stripes on its acrylic glass unibody.

Some of the U12 Life’s specs include: a 6-inch FHD+ display, up to 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of expandable storage, a 3,600mah battery, and a 13 MP front-facing camera, Snapdragon 636 processor, 16 MP and 5 MP dual camera system, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 8.1.

Unlike the majority of new Android devices, the U12 Life doesn’t feature a display notch, which should please plenty of people. However, there are noticeable top and bottom bezels, which means the device doesn’t appear quite as modern as its contemporaries. Still, it’s a handsome device all around.

When the HTC U Life launches in the UK, it’ll retail for £299. Unfortunately, HTC has no plans to bring the device to the U.S.
