T-Mobile is Making It Super Easy to Upgrade Your iPhone This Year

T-Mobile customers will now be able to use Apple’s iPhone Upgrade program online, marking the first time the carrier has allowed customers to enter the iPhone program without needing to go to a physical store.

Since Apple introduced its iPhone Upgrade program a couple years ago, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint have allowed customers to enter the program online but T-Mobile was the sole company forcing users to go through the extra step of visiting a store. That step will now be bypassed, according to new language in the Apple Store app.

When T-Mobile users go through the Apple Store app and try to upgrade their iPhones they will now have the option to enter into the iPhone Upgrade program though T-Mobile (or any other carrier) by entering an installment plan of $49.91 a month (for 24 months) that includes AppleCare+ and the ability to turn in your iPhone in 12 months and upgrade to the newest iPhone.

Apple is expected to take the wraps off three new iPhones next month, so the announcement couldn’t come at a better time for T-Mobile customers looking to upgrade their iPhone this year. Among the upgrades this year’s iPhones are expected to have include a bigger 6.5-inch display with the new iPhone X Plus model and support for the Apple Pencil.
