New Spider-Man: Far From Home Logo Unveiled by Sony

Spider-Man: Far From Home won’t be swinging into theaters until July 2019, but Sony isn’t wasting time by hyping up the movie. The studio, alongside its partner Marvel, released the movie’s official logo, which goes back to the roots established in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The logo is nearly identical to the Spider-Man: Homecoming logo with the same title and subtitle font. Even the “o” that serves as a miniature Spider-Man insignia returns in the word “Home.” About the only major difference is the main color used for the Spiderman text is red instead of yellow. You can compare both in the gallery above.

The logo isn’t much but it’s nice to see Sony and Marvel starting to slowly disseminate information about a movie that is nearly a year away from being released. That’s big-time because the movie will serve as a soft reboot for the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the events of Avengers 4.

We know that it will be much lighter in tone, but the specifics about the plot remain hidden. What we do know is that Samuel L Jackson and Cobie Smulders will reprise their roles as Nick Fury and Maria Hill, while Jake Gyllenhaal has been rumored to play Mysterio.

It’s doubtful we’ll see a trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home anytime soon, but we may see some early images of Tom Holland as the web slinger and Jake Gyllenhaal in his full Mysterio outfit.
