Dark Souls Remastered Finally Given a Release Date for the Nintendo Switch

Dark Souls might be taking a much needed rest, but that hasn’t stopped it from being the most influential gaming franchise of the previous decade. Players still need their Dark Souls, and a remastered version found on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC back in April is now making its way to the Nintendo Switch.

An official release date has dodged this version for quite some time, but we now know that Dark Souls Remastered will bring the series to a Nintendo console for the first time on Oct. 19.

The game will launch alongside a Solaire of Astora amiibo in his famous “Praise the Sun” pose.

If I pick this up, it will be my first return to the Dark Souls series since the second game, which left me uninspired and burned out. As much as I would like to go back, I want my Demon’s Souls remaster! Whereas Dark Souls provides an expansive world to explore and focuses more on the RPG experience, Demon’s Souls feels more like an action game at heart, providing shorter levels for briefer bursts of progress…

In line with that the portable Switch needs to provide.

Not that it will ever happen, but I would soon play that before ever once thinking about buying a Dark Souls 2 Remastered… ugh.
