Movies Anywhere has added support for yet another outlet, bringing the total number to six.

Formerly known as Disney Movies Anywhere, the Movies Anywhere service has finally brought a unification to digital movie libraries that many have sought for years: Buy on one outlet, access from all of your accounts. Until Monday the service supported cross-synching of iTunes, Amazon Video, Google Play, FandangoNOW, and VUDU. Now, you can add Windows 10 and Xbox to the list of supported services.

Microsoft revealed on Monday that it now supports the movie service. As an added bonus, when you link your account you will also receive a free copy of X-Men: Days of Future Past for a limited time.

Movies Anywhere supports films from Disney, Sony, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal, and Warner Bros. When you purchase a film somewhere such as iTunes, it will then appear on your other services such as Google Play within moments, freeing those films to be watched where and when you please. The most shocking aspect of Movies Anywhere is it took so long for the movie studios to figure out this is how digital copies should be handled.
