The new iPhone models won’t be released until later this year, but you should have a pretty good idea of what they’ll look like.
Apple, no matter how hard it tries, cannot keep its plans hidden. Based on several reports and leaks, it seems like we’re going to see a trio of new iPhone models that resemble the iPhone X. That would make sense since Apple’s most advanced iPhone ever was a runaway success despite its delayed release.
More information about Apple and its agenda will emerge as we near the expected September launch event. Just a few days ago, the 6.1- and 6.5-inch models leaked online in multiple photos. These two, however, aren’t appearing once and vanishing until Apple’s announcement.
Both models have leaked again, and this time it’s on video. Someone picked up two dummy units of the 6.1- and 6.5-inch models for a hands-on video that the world can enjoy.
Here are the two videos, courtesy of insider Steve Hemmerstoffer and Tiger Mobiles:
From these videos, it’s obvious that Apple would like the iPhone to look and feel consistent between models. The units shown may have different camera setups, but the 6.1- and 6.5-inch models align with last year’s iPhone X overall. Apple will give them similar edge-to-edge displays with notches at the top.
The technology for their edge-to-edge displays won’t match, though. While the 6.5-inch model will have an OLED screen like the 5.8-inch model, the 6.1-inch model should ship with an LCD screen.
It’s a decision that comes down to cost. You’ll likely see two expensive iPhone models and one that remains in-line with iPhone 8 pricing that’s somewhat easier on your wallet.

Meanwhile, insider Ben Geskin seems to have spotted another photo of Apple’s long-awaited iPhone models. It shows the 6.1- and 6.5-inch models yet again.
Both are in white, but Apple has reportedly decided to give all models an impressive mix of colors. So you probably won’t have to choose between only black or silver. The shades mentioned in a previous report include black, white, gold, red, blue, grey, and orange. Just don’t expect all colors to be available for all models.
Apple doesn’t often release its products in various colors, but maybe someone in Cupertino felt the iPhone needed to pop a little more in 2018.
If you’ve watched the leaked hands-on videos a few times, you should probably keep them playing on a loop. There’s no set time for when another leak will occur. Yet it doesn’t seem like you’ll have to wait long. With less than two months until Apple announces them, the new iPhone models are bound to get exposed again and again.
