Samsung won’t show off the Galaxy Note 9 for another few weeks, but you don’t have to wait that long to see it. Evan Blass posted what appears to be an official render of the device to Twitter, giving us our best look yet at Samsung’s upcoming flagship.
As we previously saw in leaked marketing materials, Samsung’s preferred color scheme this year will be blue and yellow—the phone will be a luxurious shade of blue, while the S Pen will be bright yellow. That’s a curious choice that already has fans divided.

But what really has people angry is the design of the Note 9’s dual-camera arrangement. “The camera looks horrible,” Twitter user RajaMagDich said. “Agreed. Makes it look generic,” Dazeone81 added.
Others have taken to drawing photos over the dual-camera arrangement to make it look like a face. One Twitter user said the Note 9’s dual-camera setup looks like the zany face emoji. Once you see it, it’s hard to unsee.
The image shared by Blass also reveals the more rectangular fingerprint sensor, which rests just below the cameras. That, too, has already become point of ire from users who have responded to Blass’s photo.
“That fingerprint sensor looks like it’s going to be a dumpster fire,” said Twitter user seanfagundes.
The good news is the phone doesn’t feature a display notch, and earlier leaks we’ve seen revealed a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other than that, the Note 9 doesn’t look significantly different compared to the Note 8, which isn’t a bad thing.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9.
