More details surrounding the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 have emerged.
The South Korean company will announce its second 2018 flagship in early August, according to mobile industry insider Ice Universe. In the past, Samsung waited until mid-to-late August or early September to announce a new Galaxy Note.
Other reports have suggested Samsung would bump up the Galaxy Note 9’s arrival to accommodate for the Galaxy X. The Galaxy S10 would move to CES in January, and Samsung’s foldable phone would get showcased at MWC in February.
The specific launch date, however, remains unknown. Samsung is reportedly choosing between August 2 and August 9. No matter the date, the Galaxy Note 9 will be unveiled in front of a massive audience in New York City. The latest installment in the Galaxy Note series has been unveiled in the Big Apple every year since 2014.
Following its unveiling, the Galaxy Note 9 would be released within a few weeks. The flagship would serve as a direct competitor to Apple’s new iPhone models that are expected in the fall.
