Days Gone, the open-world post apocalyptic zombie adventure from Sony’s Bend Studio, finally has a release date along with a fresh trailer to check out.

Originally set to release this year, Days Gone will now release on February 22, 2019.

This release trailer highlights the many threats you’ll encounter in the game. It’s not just the zombie-like Freakers that you and your trusty bike will be facing in this world. Even if you manage to avoid the roiling hordes of mindless monsters, you’ll have to contend with wolves, mountain lions, and bears. There are plenty of humans to fight, too, with our protagonist Deacon being targeted by a gang called the Rippers (presumably led by Jesse). Your bike can break down and run out of gas, too.

Days Gone was first shown back at E3 2016 with a focus on the horde technology Bend was working on that would let the Freakers attack as a terrifying unit that would require more creative tactics than simply standing and shooting. We had concerns about the game when we played it last month, but ultimately we dug what we saw and we’re looking forward to seeing the game early next year.
